3D Printed 90mm EDF FA-18 Jet

I had a lot of fun building this beautiful jet. A friend of mine printed it. For me it was a bit of a healing process as it replaces the Freewing 90mm EDF Blue Angels jet that I crashed one too many times! That had been a retirement gift from my son, and I really loved it, even though I have to admit that I was really nervous every time I flew it. That was partly due to the fact that it was the most valuable aircraft that I owned – both in dollar value and sentimental value – and it had also had mechanical problems with each flight up to the last one. Admittedly the last one was total pilot error. Now who was that terrible guy that wrecked my plane?! :-/

Anyhow, here is the video of the build, and following that, the complete STL printer settings that we ended up using for most of the parts.

Printed with a Bambu A1 3D printer using Bambu PLA Aero going through a stainless steel 4 mm nozzle. Filament dried for 10 hrs before printing.
